Reprograming required for transmission replacment? S40-V40 2001

If I end up replacing the transmission in my daughter's '01, will I have to
reprogram anything?

I'm on the hunt for an exact replacement so I'm guessing there won't be anything
to do other than remove the old one and replace with the junkyard trans.
Seen a few around for $200. Claim to be tested and warrantied. I wonder how they test them?
If they actually drive the car that it's in or just look for CEL codes.
