bad conti tires V70-XC70 2000

My 2000 xc v70xc which came with conti touring contact tires has 11,000 miles. Altho the tires still have substantial tread they have been losing air at 5-8psi a week and have gone flat overnight. They cost $92 and seem inappropriste for a heavy all wheel vehicle. Have others had the same experience. 202-244-0492
