855T Leaking Trans 850 1995

Wife's '95 855T, with 217,000 miles, had a trans failure. No go. A local indy shop put in a salvage trans for $1400 and it runs great. But it started leaking profusely. With a 6 month warranty I took it back and they found a bad seal somewhere near the TC.

Got the car back, no leaks for a week or so then back to dumping about 2 qts every other week. Out of warranty.

Ok, I'm trying various stop leak snake oils with little success. Surprise.

Anyone have experience with this type product that actually at least slowed the leak?

I've just gone over the car over the last year replacing all suspension, brake, T-belt, idlers, tensioner, sunroof, headliner, and a hundred other things. It runs great and is only starting to smoke a little after several days parked. (guides)

I'm delaying replacing the trans again, but am starting to look at large SUVs as the kids are all 6' tall.

What are my options with the trans?

Erwin
