fuel leak S70 1998

was getting smell of gas while running, so opened hood to take a look/sniff to try to find the leak, and was able pinpoint it fairly quickly...the ol' nose still works fairly well...just how to describe where and what....so here goes...if one were to number the injectors 1 to 5, with 1 being the injector closest to PASSENGER side, between injectors 1 and 2, on the underside of the fuel rail, sits a small silver metal 'can'...diameter about that of a half dollar, almost looks like a derby hat in overall shape...whatever it is, that is where my fuel drip is, not a serious leak.....yet...is coming from....what is this part? looks just threaded in to fuel rail...am I correct?...can it be replaced w/o removing the rail? have a long trip in a couple of days, and would like to address the issue as quick as I can...
