Considering buying a 2011 S40 T5 with 20K miles S40-V40 2011

I am considering buying a used 2011 Volvo S40 T5 (with 20K miles) for my wife. We have been driving 850s and V70s (wagons) for the last 20+ years, and are ready to transition to a smaller car (we still own an '02 and an '07 V70). Anything to look out for on the S40 ? Any other models to consider? Does Volvo still offer manual transmission in the US?
