Intermittent no start S70 1998

98 S70 non turbo. Intermittent no start. Engine cranks but does not fire.

When this happens three successive cranking sessions and the engine will usually start. When it does start, it runs fine.

A little info. This vehicle has close to 250,000 miles on the clock and has had regular routine service including fluid and filter changes.

Original fuel pump.

Could this be a failing fuel pump?
