1997 850 R Wagon

I just came back from our local dealer, Borton Volvo. I talked to a service manager who has been there for at least 15 years and mentioned your problem. He agreed with me and said that the problem is that they only have 3 mechanics that know anything about 850's. Three.

I also found out that the hourly rate is now $139! I asked, because I wanted to know how much it would cost me to get my 1995 inspected, and they charge for 1 hour. He asked me to call ahead and he would make sure that one of the 3 mechanics would give it a good go over. I need that to verify that the suspension, steering, bushings, etc are either in good shape or might need replacing. Something I cannot do without a lift.

My car still has the original rectangle turbo exhaust pipe. And enough rust to choke a horse!
