1997 850 R Wagon

In our '95 855 base, the light came on after I disconnected the glove box light in order to end a battery drain.

Pulling the bulb out of the light did not cure the drain, the problem was in the switch and I did not really need the light.

When I pulled the glove box out for the second time ( often a problem is caused by something that just happened - that is, disturbing around the air bag ) I found out that I had disconnected a plug to the air bag.

You might check that. I was surprised at how easy the plug came apart.

By the way - did anything happen just before the light came on?
