flush brakes with DOT4

Volvo is wise to suggest flushing brake fluid
The fluid in the calipers gets burned with heavy use and time wrecks the brake fluid. Brake fluid is hydroscopic attracting water that you don't need
since it can degrade/corrode the brake cylinders.

Old brake fluid will encourage brake fading and other poor behavior that
you don't want.

I cast a hearty vote in agreement with Flushing brake fluid on a periodic basis.

You might use ATE blue DOT4 one time and then clear DOT4 the next time so you can be sure you have the lines purged of old stuff.
