Glovebox woes.... 850 1994

Unexplainably my glovebox won't open anymore. I'm sure it's not just locked. I patiently tried every type of levering, jiggling, leveraging, and prying just short of total destruction to get it open. It feels like the handle/pull is not engaging the latch. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
