OBD connection? C70 2006

Bought a 2006 C70 a couple of weeks ago and the wife is off on a 7,000 mile road trip already. She had a couple of stalls and a message indicating that there would be codes explaining the issue. I purchased an OBDII reader on Amazon and had it shipped to her in CA. She had learned to read codes with the blinking lights on our 94 850s so I assumed she would be OK with more modern technology. She doesn't know where to plug it in and neither do I. On the 850 there is a connection under the coin holder and I have seen it under the steering wheel on other vehicles. Can anybody help us?
