Re: Electric window switch 850 96

The console has to come out. Remove cover in bottom of compartment under armrest, and 2 screws under the cover. The panel with the cig lighter has to come out. Remove the lighter. There are two screws through the panel into the console. They go from front to rear. 1 by the lighter, 1 on right. Remove the coin holder by grabing from the front side and lift. Now lift the panel with the lighter socket from the back side and pull upward and rearward. Slide the diagnostic conector (under coin holder) to the left and remove from panel, un plug the lighter wires and light. Unplug the two elec conectors under the lighter panel. There are two more screws below the lighter panel to the sides of the conectors. (torx 10 or 15) remove these, set emergency brake, pop the trim piece off under E-brake handle, Take shifter out of park, lift the console up from the back side, move it up and back, lifting over shifter and brake handle. Turn console over, remove three retainers for window switch wires, cut cable tie, unplug the auto down relay clipped to the bottom of the console, push switch assy up from the bottom and fish the harness and switch out of the console. It's a tight fit. Reverse procedure to install
