What is DOT4+ Brake Fluid? S70 1998

I just looked up the brake fluid specified for my car on Alldata and it showed DOT4+. Can anyone explain to me what is DOT4+ and how is it different from DOT4. Can I just use a good quality over the counter DOT4 stuff like Castrol or ATE or do I need to get the prescription Volvo stuff?

Also, I am planning on doing the brake fluid flush sometime soon, so any suggestions, tips and comments will be appreciated. I am planning on using the power bleeder to pressurize the system without having to pump the pedal.

Thanks,
