I was driving my car in to work this morning and it felt like it was bouncing and the check engine light kept flashing and I smelled something burning so I pulled over and opened the hood. When I took out the dipstick there was oil up to the correct fill line but there was smoke coming out and it looked like dried oil at the middle of the stick and on the cap.

I'm having it towed in but was hoping to get some info before the garage starts trying to tell me anything that may not be needed to do.
