TRACS Repeat Question 850 97R

A question was posted a little while ago about the function of TRACS. I'm also curious to see what the general consensus is about it's effectiveness in full-throttle starts.

I have a 97R and tried a full-throttle acceleration the other night to see what it would do (just curious). All my car did was to smoke the right front wheel (as far as I could tell). I tend to agree with the other post that it may not work well with the full-throttle trial I did, but at the same time it bugs me.

Before we get farther, I already had the ABS/TRACS off light come on this summer, and the dealer replaced the ABS unit under warranty. Until snow falls here in any significant amount, I won't be able to test it with slow starts.

Should TRACS activate with a full-throttle start?

Thanks,

Kyle
