Re: 2000 S40-Motor Trend S40-V40 2000

I was comparing off the line no power-breaking speed. Trying to keep it even, I didn't think it would of made much difference. The upper rev band also felt weak. If you want, lets meet at Gorges Volvo next weekend and test drive the new 2001 S40. Not the white one with leather, that one is slow :). Maybe another one would be faster!

I've looked at a couple different sites, all of them say the 2001 still have 160hp but they also confirm that they do have 177tq.

Does anyone know if the 5-speed is less efficient? Is that 160hp @flywheel less at the wheels than the 4-speed?
