Volvo trailer hitch 850 1997

Has anyone out there installed the factory trailer hitch sold by Volvo themselves? I am about to do this (to save myself $300 in labor). Is there any potential major snags I should be aware of? I.e. Do I have to cut a "notch" in the bumber to accomodate the receiver? Is the wiring harness they sell a task for a rocket scientist, or is it pretty much "plug and play"?

The part numbers they have quoted me are the following:

1. 9134257 - Tow hitch

2. 9124951 - Wiring Harness

3. 1189936 - Harness Converter

4. 1128873 - Trailer plug

If anyone has done this job could you let me know of any shortcuts??
