I installed some myself a year or so ago....... The instructions are kind of difficult to understand, as there are very few written instructions (mostly just mediocre sketches). In short, you're going to have to pull the black molding on your roof off, then cut it at the proper point (the instructions tell you where) with a hacksaw.
The rails fit into the groove that's been vacated by the molding. There are several (three??) tapped holes hidden behind rubberized tape in each groove; you remove this tape, apply the enclosed metallic tape over the holes (not quite sure what this does), then screw those bad boys in. The bolts are torx head, and I believe that one of the torx bits in the spare tire tool kit is indeed the proper size (don't quote me on this).
The job's a no brainer, just make sure to measure twice, cut once. The only other advice I'd offer is to have a second set of hands ready when actually screwing the rails in. I did this job myself in about 45 minutes, but managed to put a nice scratch on the roof as one end of the rail popped out when installing the first bolt.
