Should you really replace the serpentine belt at 105,000 miles? S60 2002

I would error on the side of too soon. Replace it before you want to be stranded by the side of the road on a snowy night...

I change the timing belt and the serpentine belt at about 70,000 miles on our '04 V70. I don't believe the stuff about the longer change interval. OE or aftermarket, the belts fit a lot of different cars. To think that they inproved the belt for this car is wishful thinking. Made it a little cheaper is more likely. Besides, the cost is peanuts if I put 4 belt sets over 300,000 miles versus 3.

Once it is out of warrenty, you are on your own.

Greg
