Where are crank pulley timing marks? S60 2007

What still seems odd, is that the engine fired for a second or two. If the timing wasn't "close", how could it do that?

Thanks in advance to any replies on my "crank marks versus before-TDC" question.


(Just to clarify my last post: I mention camshaft-lock, only to help explain my installation process, and relative positions of cam and crank)
