Trying to make a quick but decent decision.

Any recommendation for a inexpensive cross racks to go over the rails on my 2007 Volvo xc70. I only need them for an occasional local transport of a ladder, so there is no need for anything high end. I see them on Ebay for $40. Is that what I should go with. I couldn't make them up out of 2 x 3s and U-bolts that cheap!
