Replacing hood hinges (DIY?) advice... 850

1996 Volvo GLT manual transmission. Got distracted (no excuse) and didn't properly close my hood after checking oil at a service station. Travelling up a 45-degree incline hill doing about 40mph and the hood flies up, hood hinges bend. Was able to close the hood, but the hood points where it fits near the window glass/fenders are bent outward, and the hinges are bent inward on both sides. Is this a DIY project (I have a donor set of hinges) or would it be better to just take it to a local body shop?

Thanks again.
