Volvo double platinum plugs 850 95

From time to time, the issue of performance and plugs is raised. Because there was a mention by a member that after installing the Volvo dbl plat plugs, he noticed a smooth idle, but a degradation in accelerative performance, I decided to try the Volvo plugs first, and then if I experienced this, had a backup set of Bosch Supers FR7Dc on hand just in case. After carefully gapping them, I installed them, and torqued them down to about 20 psi.

And then, the crucial first test run! I happily found that, yes, the idle did seem to be unusually smooth, and as for acceleration......As strong as ever!!

So, I just want to relay to all that I for one had no problems whatsoever using the Volvo plugs for the B5234T engine. Dave has reported on his excellent results using the Bosch Platinums as well, so long as you put enough torque on them. And, others have reported good results with Bosch Supers in copper. So, take your choice, and make sure to use the correct heat range. It seems that you'll probably be ok with any of them.
