Re: Response... 850 '94

When you repaced the old Box A with the new Box A you had to disconnected some kind of connector. Is that connector has 8 pins? I think that pin 4 and pin 8 are the wire supplying the +12V and ground that feed the pushbutton, the flylead and the LED.

Here is a list of connections to Box A:

pin 1 : auto transmission contoller

pin 2 : Motronic ECU

pin 3 : ABS unit

pin 4 : +12V from fuse #33 (did you check the fuse?)

pin 5 : No connection

pin 6 : Motronic ECU

pin 7 : to instrument cluster

pin 8 : Ground (from ground point in (or near) fuse box)

For Box B:

pin 1 : Climate control

pin 2 : Cruise control

pin 3 : No connection

pin 4 : No connection

pin 5 : Airbags unit

pin 6 : Power seat

pin 7 : No connection

pin 8 : No connection

Go check at that connector if you have +12V and ground. Is the fuse #33 OK?
