Engine Noise!!!! 850 97

ICQ>

I posted a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned I had been hearing some clicking under the hood. It sounded like a.)an exhaust leak, b.)lifters. After taking it to the dealer on 3 separate occasions, only to be told they "Heard nothing abnormal" or "Nothing's wrong with the car", I finally got to the area factory rep. As soon as I started the car and told him to rev the engine, he replied "There's definitely some noise there." Really? That's what I said all along.

He recommended new lifters be put in, even though the noise is not causing damage. How many others simply assume the npise is normal? I knew it wasn't. I will post when I get the work done (under warranty, of course).
