Transmission valve body swap 850 1993

I've been getting the dreaded 1-2-2 code, after which I've been draining the fluid and replacing, then resetting the fault code.
Sometimes it would work for a long time but the time has got shorter till I couldn't reset it.
I've gone through a huge amount of ATF.
I have a spare car which is a 95 model where mine is a 93.
I see a few differences but was hoping the valve body if swapped would work.
I have taken both valve bodies out and now read that the solenoids are different for these two models.
I'm wondering how different these throttle bodies are now.
Also wondering if I'll need to swap the transmission computer with the throttle body.
I'm guessing nobody will know the answer to these questions but if anyone does that'll be great.
I've managed to damage the gasket on the 93 valve body so inclined to just fit the whole 95 one and hope it works. Any ideas please?
Cheers,
Dan
