Gratitude 850 1996

I had to replace the weatherstripping on the rear passenger door of my 96 850 sedan, to fix (I hope) a water leak that's been plaguing me. I got stuck on how to remove the rear seat side bolster, a necessary step to get to the trim panels next to the weatherstripping.

Thanks to y'all - the owners/administrators here and the members, one of whom* posted a clear explanation of how to remove the bolster - I got past that step quickly. The rest of the process was straightforward.

The dealer quoted me an hour and $140 to replace the weatherstripping. With your help, I got it done in an hour and a half, not a bad "learning tuition" in my experience. I am now $140 richer.

I am very grateful for this place, which has saved me more than once from hours of puzzlement and shown me that repairs that looked intimidating aren't.

Which leads me to a question: I was looking on the home page for a "donate here to support the Brickboard," but didn't find anything. Did I miss it, or is it supported by other sources of funding?
