How do I flush tranny on 2004 XC70 V70-XC70 2004

I have a case of Toyota ATF Type IV waiting to be flushed into my recently purchased 2004 XC70, but I have been foiled fighting with the plastic shrouding under the front of the car. I have flushed three 850s and have the IPD kit, so I am familiar with the flush routine (except that it is the LOWER hose on the XC70, right?)

I have gotten to where I have have removed the two torx bolts and the 9mm bolts at the ends of the shroud and able to pull down the back of the plastic shroud that spans the front across the car behind the bumper, but can not extract it. It seems to be locked by its tabs into slots in more plastic mounted to the frame/front of car. I hesitate to pry without guidance.

I'm working without guidance as it seems no manuals are available for the XC70, except internet subscriptions by the month or year, and the British Haynes for RH driver cars. Rats.

Could find nothing of value on Matthew's Volvo site except more insecurity and frustration, as it seems there is some substantial opinion that on a high mileage car (150K here), one should drain only 3-4 quarts at a time. (This from a guy who said he had 21 years experience at a Volvo garage.) The only elaborate guidance on Matthew's site I could find concerns draining a few quarts through the transmission drain plug, every 5K or so. But according to a Volvo mechanic at the Volvo dealer in Spokane that I spoke with when I picked up a new serpentine belt yesterday, there is no drain plug on this automatic transmission. Is this correct? It's a moot point if a full flush does not endanger the transmission, as I would like to give it a good flush, but on the other hand, it has to be easier than fighting with all the plastic and the apparently limited space to get the hose off even after the shroud is off.
