I need advice on selling my wrecked S60T5 S60 2002

Marlin,

I wish I lived in Omaha, NE instead of Fairfield, CT. An auto body shop I have used for several years in doing major repairs on my other Volvos (my wife and middle daughter have both seriously crashed our fleet of Volvos-forutnately never hurt - they could star in “Volvo Saved My Life Commercials”) quoted me a fee of $5,000 in labor to repair the car. My private auto repair shop had a donor base model “S60” available for all the parts I would require for $4,000. There was no insurance, so to put my T5 back together would cost $9,000 out-of-pocket which I could not justify or afford. My wife has a lead foot. If it took the sacrifice of my beautiful T5 to bring that lesson home, without her being injured, it was worth it. This car fell into my life, I hope another one does too. I wanted to keep and maintain this car for the rest of my life. Did I reed it? No. Did I want it? YES! However, it being a 4 door sedan with 5 passenger capacity made me feel I wasn’t being a total spendthrift. I could transport my entire family around in this car.

Marlin, I really liked the how your story ended with your T5. Take good care of it and enjoy it for many years.

Hugh
