Xemodex is the way to go here as Klaus says.
I`d recommend talking to someone at Xemodex before sending the unit off to them. Cindy was my contact person. Also make sure you disconnect battery in proper order which sounds elementary but apparently, wasn`t to my local indie shop. When they re-installed the CEM, I had to take the car to the dealer to get the SRS re-set which was another $86 (cheaper than I thought it would be!). We had the DIM replaced on our `03 XC70 years ago, saved a bundle & Xemodex offers good service too.
