fuel rich issues 850

Is the check engine light on? If so, take it to any autoparts store and get the codes read for free. The OBDII port is under the coin tray.

Running rich is 'usually' the result of a vacuum leak or unmetered air getting into the intake manifold. It could also be a faulty fuel pressure relay under the injector cover - note the vacuum line that is routed from there to the vacuum tree at the throttle body - if that line smells of gasoline, that could be your problem.

My 1995 has had a dirty EVAP purge valve that was sticking in the open position, so that at idle it was running rich, pulling in gasoline fumes from the charcoal cannister when it is not supposed to.

Keeping it running is better than buying new
