Steering rack replacement (possible) 93 850 850

I was changing my control arms today, and noticed a nice (new) drip coming off the boot that fits on the tie rod. And whenever I'd push in the tie-rod (or turn the tire) there would be a gurgling sound.

The puddle was a rusty colored oily mixture of I assume water, rust and PS fluid.

When I re-did my suspension a few years ago, I replaced the original boots on the tie rods because they were crap. It's because of this and an odd noise I heard whenever I turned (which I had assumed was the control arm) that I suspect that the seals got contaminated and thus, have failed.

Plus, you know, 210K miles on it.

Is it a difficult swap? Are there makers to avoid?

I'm not terribly interested in rebuilding it myself though.
