Replacing seat base cover XC90

Hi there,
I have a 2010 XC90 Active (base model with the 1/2 leatherette, 1/2 fabric seats.
The leatherette part of the base of the driver's seat (door side) has developed a split after just 42K miles but dealer and Volvo UK refuse any goodwill payment as they say it's out of warranty.

I've been quoted £400 by the dealer to replace the seat base cover.

Has anyone done this themselves? Does it involve disconnecting the seat electrics which may interfere with the airbag and give me other problems? I am very handy so could do it myself but don't want any troubles with the sensors/electrics/warning lights etc.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Pete
