CEL, "engine system service' displayed, no AC? C70 2007

It is conceivable to me that a CEL could disable the AC in today's complex cars to save power and allow you to get to service.

The other day, we heard a buzzing noise in the console of our '08 XC70 - at the next start, I got a message - gearshift needs service - at the next start, the shift interlock did not work!

I guess that these cars know what they are doing!
