went with expediency...got new from NAPA, but also ordered boot kits for both axles, as I got driver side replaced new not too long ago for same reason, torn boot...loath to give up Volvo OEM axles, so gonna give rebooting a try...not afraid of a little mess...thanks again to all for the great advice...
