Beers all around 850

The same reason could be applied to the bottom plastic shield: to keep shade tree mechanics without a lift from having fun. It would be nice to remove a couple of 10mm bolts and remove the lower plastic shield - but no, not to be.

I went back to the videos to check the 'expert mechanics', and none of them mentioned or showed the belt being installed under the fender. Just drop the belt down, around the crank, and pull up. Excuse me?

Of course, I don't have air tools, so the serpentine pulley (harmonic balancer) will not come off in my garage. That means the Tbelt must go on at a 90 degree angle, for the bung and the plastic shield. Cannot do that from the top of the engine!

But, my car runs fine and I finally have peace of mind knowing that the next belt change is in 10 years or 250K miles! Worth the effort and I saved a few hundred dollars doing it myself.

Beers all around!!
