exhaust issues S70 1998

It depends on what you 'tweaked'. Yes, the OE exhaust is stainless steel and usually lasts 200K or more. The resonator, if you have one, is part of the exhaust+muffler. Some cars came without resonator, but the muffler price is higher??

If what you tweaked is the join between the muffler and the down pipe, I wouldn't weld it. Take it apart, fill the space with muffler cement and put it back together again.

If what you tweaked was the end of the tail pipe, get it straightened out and put on a new tail pipe tip.

If what you tweaked was the resonator, let your guy cut it out and weld in a new one - not OEM.

You might want to look for a new hanger if it was damaged.
