Oil Cooler O-rings - Problems with Victor-Reinz? V70-XC70 1999

I had a minor leak from my turbo oil cooler, so I got a set of Victor Reinz seals. Now I have a major leak.

Is this a common problem with Victor Reinz? I tried to buy originals from IPD, but since the originals are green and the picture on IPD's website showed black ones, I called to see if they were really Volvo original. He checked and found that they were actually aftermarket and promised to update the website. FCP Groton also showed black ones, although I did not call them to check. I ordered a pair off eBay from a seller called eeuroparts.com. They claim to be genuine and the picture was of a green seal.

Is there something I should know about replacing these seals? I pulled the cooler back off to be sure that the o-ring was properly seated, and it was. But upon reassembly, the leak was even worse. (Only on the right side).

All advice welcome.
