Seat skins

My 1995 850 driver's seat has a small tear in the bottom seat skin. The leather is quite thin after all these years. I looked at the SV70 cars but they don't look much better.

What if I took a skin off a 2004 XC90? Would that even fit? I know that the stitch pattern is different and there probably isn't a hole for the lumbar adjustment. The local (1 hour drive) P&P charges $20 for the whole seat - same price for just the skins.

I was waiting for a 2000 SV70, but even they are getting scarce. Especially in black. No, I refuse to buy seat covers!!
