car will not shut down properly S60

3 times I shut down the vehicle using the stop engine button but although the engine stopped, I could not lock the car because I got a message saying "ignition on". I had to start the car a few times in order to shut down and lock the car.I had the key entered into the slot but it didn't make any difference.
Anyone else had this problem? Works ok today but I still think somethings wrong.
