GREAT POST ! ! ! NHTSA #09V483000 V70-XC70 2001

Hi, I just discovered this failure mode in my car. A 2001 V70 station wagon, only 123,000 miles on it, always garaged and serviced, full books and records. The has an importation stamp on the original title of Port of Charleston, SC so I am covered there and I live in Dallas where it is impossible NOT to have heat cycling going on.

The southern most elements of Decima hit us last weekend and on Saturday we went from 68F to an overnight low of 15F. We were visiting my mother so the car was out in the weather Saturday night-Monday morning when it suddenly didn't start.

Lucky I found this recall because replacement can be over a grand depending on where you go. As I move through the process here, I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks, Brickboard!
