Thinking about purchasing 1999 NA V70 V70-XC70 1999

All,

I've got the opportunity to pick up yet another cheap V70.

The V70 in question is a 1999 NA being offered by the second owner, who is looking to move on to something newer. This car has 148k miles on it and has had 95% of its servicing done at the local dealership (Falls Church, Virginia). The second owner has had the car since May of 2007, when they bought it with 47,068 miles (I already ran a Carfax). Car is an automatic.

The Carfax shows that the last service was done at 145k on the dot, back in Nov. of last year. The cabin air filter was replaced, rear main seal was replaced as well, and a new a/c evaporator was fitted.

It's gold with a tan leather interior. There is no rust on the body, being a Virginia car, and the inside is slightly worn, expected of a car with 148k on it. But it's a rare gold color that I've been looking around for. I would like to offer $1,000 for it. Welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and advice.
