REACHED MY LIMIT V70-XC70 2003

Yesterday, I picked up a door from a local salvage yard to replace the one,on my daughter's car, that was sideswiped by someone who thought it was better to just drive away than to admit responsibility. Anyway, I found the door , in color, at a good price and proceeded to mount it along with the left front fender (also damaged in said hit and run). Everything went smoothly until the point that I pressed the switch to put the window down---nothing happened. When I press the switch up the glass will nudge up and then move down about two inches from the top. Every so often the glass will go up then down all the way but then it reverts to the prior behavior. Any suggestions??
