SRS Light is now on S40-V40 2003

The SRS Light came on. The car has 242K miles on it. I looked at the electrical connections under the front seats all pushed them all in and they all seem fine. I noticed that when I sit in the driver's seat, I do not get the light to fasten my seat belt - but don't know if this is a byproduct of the SRS light or the cause of the SRS light.

Any thoughts?

One additional piece of information - I just noticed that when I turn on the radio it displays "OFF". It does not do anything else and does not allow me to enter the security code. The radio does not do anything but display "OFF".
