Repairing Key Fobs (including 2004 models)

Mary's car has a fob with a floppy key. I have had a look at it and didn't see any obvious way to restore the folding and locking functions. If it wasn't such a big awkward lump I'd JB Weld the blade in the straight out position. As it is, it works and folds up to put in my pocket.
