Scan tools for Volvo Vehicles V70-XC70 2008

Looking for some help here on this topic.

I have been looking for a good high quality, but Economical Complete Scan Tool for Volvo vehicles.

The Scan tools at PepBoys, AutoZone, and Advanced Auto places can't read Volvo Vehicles. So, hence the search.

I have even looked at the Scan tools now at Harbor Freight and found out that the models that they carry from a low of $30 - $300 don't work on Volvo vehicles either.

What are my choices out there? Do they work as stand-a-lone units or do they require a laptop? If they require a laptop I have one that has Windows 10 operating systems on it. Will they work on Windows 10?

If you guys can point me in the right direction, with sites, opinions on this that would be greatly appreciated.

I would like a unit that can read, troubleshoot, clear common codes as well as Engine, TCM, ABS, SRS, etc.
