Belt tension: you should not be able to move the tensioner by hand. Normal tension is less than 1/2 inch.

BTW, if the belt slips, you should hear some strange noises. The belt also drives your power steering and AC compressor.

If the alternator is only supplying 13V, your battery will start to drain as you drive.

Yes, it will get cold in a couple of days. We woke up to -12F this morning!
