How to diagnose FUEL S70 1998

appreciate the input David...did coolant system service, including new coolant, thermostat, and ECT sensor last fall, OEM parts and Zerex coolant...thinking most likely the fuel pump relay going south...I got this car with 35k,and have owned until this point, with 130k on the odometer ...has been a reliable, great long distance cruiser for me, I'm thinking just dealing mostly with parts/sensors nearing/have reached their useful life...just now, when I have the time to work on it, just not the weather...oh, the irony...
