Question about shocks and struts and age

Yes, both front and rear are probably shot. On my 95 850, I replaced the rear shock mounts first when they began to bang. Later replaced the front struts and mounts once they started squeaking. Did both between 180-200k. I never replaced the rear shocks or the front springs. Ran the car to 250k+ before selling it last year.

I think it is really a question of your tolerability level. Also a financial issue - how much do you want to invest in this car? Or is it a beater and you simply want to run it into the ground. To make it right you should replace the front struts, mounts and rear shocks at a minimum.
