thanks for the response. I am pretty sure that one, or more, of soldered components on the cluster circuit board has come loose. My daughter went back to school this morning and I won't get a chance to work on it again until next weekend. In the meantime, I am planning to gather the items (soldering wick, flux, etc...) that I will need to fix the board.
